A couple of weekends ago, I joined my girl Diana from 204 Park for a day of epic blogging. But wait, let me start from the beginning…In Edmonton, we have this great space called the Project Loft that is perfect for small events, business meetings or workshops (yes, this is where I had my lovely 30th birthday dinner as well). And as it turns out, it is an amazing location for blogging shoots. Diana and I met beforehand and planned out all of our holiday content – what we wanted to shoot, who we could get on board to assist and how we could jam it all into 4 hours (no easy feat!!). The day arrived and we piled into the space with all our loads of goodies and got started on what was to be the most productive 4 hours I have ever had in my blogging career. But before we start to reveal all of the awesome posts for the holiday season, I wanted to give you a quick glimpse into the madness that was our morning and share a little blogging behind the scenes action!
Aislin, of Mr and Mrs L, stopped by to help out and snap some photos. Such a great supporter she is. Love her dearly!
I felt like I got off to a bit of slow start…until Janna arrived. She got right to work helping me stage my festive table setting. I sometimes wonder how I could ever do this job without Janna’s help and constant support. Obviously, a lot of effort goes into blogging photos…a LOT more than I ever thought when I first started. Lighting, angles, staging the items, fixing the items again and again (it has to be perfect!!) haha…we seriously aren’t afraid to stand on a stool or two or roll around on the ground if needed! Anything to get the right shot!
A bit of the madness of the morning…but really, it’s all organized chaos! And don’t worry, we left that place immaculate before we left. All part of the process!!!
Diana doing her thing! I seriously learned so much from watching this girl work. She is so organized, incredibly driven and knows exactly what she needs to do to achieve her goals. I admire her a lot and I’m so thankful we have connected. Some Behind the Blush shooting. Janna will be posting some great holiday looks on their blog soon! Hahaha…it can’t all be hard work, right?! A little fun is always allowed! Thanks to Janna for wrapping us up in twinkling lights!
Look up #itsjanna
We had some new Winter edition Jacek chocolates and Glow juices delivered but no eating or drinking was allowed until all the photos had been taken!! (that was the hardest part of the morning lol) And finally….none of these behind the scenes images or even the majority of the post images would have been possible without Breanne, who literally didn’t stop shooting from the second she walked in the door. She is beyond lovely and uber talented and both Diana and I were so happy she agreed to help!
And there you have it…our blogging behind the scenes!! We are so excited to share all of our holiday posts this month, so stay tuned and head to 204 Park to see more!!
I always love helping you out <3 <3
Thank god for that! I’d be lost without you! <3
So pumped to see the magic!
