Well, it can’t be avoided anymore! Maternity clothing is now a part of my life! But you know what?! I’m loving the new transition, especially since fall fashion is my absolute favourite. Yes, I can still wear many longer items that I own but finding some really good maternity staples is key for dressing this bump in the cooler temperatures. My list includes:
- A great pair of black maternity leggings and tights so I can layer my existing dresses and longer sweaters
- A couple of pairs of maternity jeans – a dark and light pair to switch it up
- Some basic crew neck long sleeve shirts (again good for layering) and other long sleeve shirts
- One or two basic fall dresses – either a more bodycon look or something that cinches above the belly
- A fall jacket that can cover the growing bump
- And just for fun, I’d love a fashionable fall vest. It’s trendy but I can easily wear it again after the bump disappears
As if they could read my mind, the lovely people behind Isabella Oliver reached out to me with amazing news about their new collection. What I love about their line is that it’s flattering, classic and simple – in a good way! Since I wanted to build my wardrobe with good, practical pieces, I ordered their scoop top in navy. I thought it would be a great maternity staple!
This top is crazy comfortable (I’ve kind of been wearing it non stop), wears & washes so well and makes me feel amazing. And better yet, it will still look great after the baby is born. Gotta love that!
Isabella Oliver also wanted to do a little more than just provide awesome maternity wear (which they do! Oh so many amazing maternity staples to choose from!). Tying in with the release of their new collection, they are launching a campaign to do their bit for all the commuting mums out there. With each purchase, they’ll be offering one of three fun badges as a gift, badges that are designed to get more people up and out of their seats whether they’re travelling by bus, by train or simply running errands in town.
Please mind the bump everyone! 🙂 hehe
You are STUNNING! Not gonna lie, there have been times I’ve been tempted to buy maternity pants for my food baby haha XO
Hahaha do it!!! XO
these photos are adorable!! comfy bras 😉
Thanks Aislin! I just got two and man, are they ever better than wearing my old sports bras that are too small lol
Pretty top! Maternity underwear, haha — I thought that was crazy the first pregnancy; but I bought them for my second. So much more comfortable, especially in the 3rd trimester when everything is so uncomfortable.
Great idea Lora!! I have no shame in buying comfy maternity underwear haha
