I don’t know if it’s because Easter holidays finally mean warmer weather on the horizon or because I have such great memories of decorating Easter eggs and then hunting to find them, but I have such a fondness for this holiday. Thinking about this I was inspired to create a simple Easter table setting for two, where I could share a lovely brunch with my sweetheart.
The soft green and yellow were the perfect colour palette for my Easter table setting. I wanted to keep it simple by layering my Nana’s vintage china with a single napkin and the utensils corralled in a sweet flatware goodie pouch.
I love my sweet egg cups next to my vintage inspired glasses. It’s such a great combination of pattern and texture. Fresh berries are ready to serve with delicious cream and a small teaspoon of sugar.
And of course, I can’t forget my pussy willows taking centre stage. They always remind me of spring and my Nana, who kept a bundle in her front entry. It’s a fresh addition to the table instead of flowers. And you could always add some decoration to them like some hanging egg ornaments!
I know setting the table for a simple brunch for two doesn’t seem like much but it really does brighten the day. It was nice to turn a simple Sunday into something a little more special – especially with the addition of an Easter inspired table setting.
I hope you have a lovely holiday with family and are inspired to add a bit of Easter inspiration to your table this year!
