Just yesterday we celebrated the first day of fall and yet, here in my city, we’ve seemed to skip over it completely. Snow has been falling now on and off since the beginning of September…and it makes me sad! Fall is my absolute favourite time of year…call me basic, it’s true, but I love everything to do with this season!! And so because mother nature isn’t doing me any favours this year outside, I’m really having to amp up the fall vibes inside. Today, just like each new autumn, I’ve got a few of my favourite fall home decor items – the scents, the textures and the warm tones – that will help just a bit to alleviate my snowy sadness.

Fall decor to me is…
- packing away some summer items and clearing the house for a new season
- adding more texture and autumnal colours that make me want to hibernate in warmth
- smelling the classic pumpkin, clove, orange and vanilla scents
- more tea at night, especially with my heavier knits around me
- different natural elements – less green and more branch like bundles
- pumpkins on display!!
