It’s no secret that decorating my home is one of my absolute favourite things to do. A little while back I shared my inspiration, and today I’m excited to share all the little Christmas delights! Like past years, I stuck with a very neutral pallet and added some DIY touches.
I absolutely love my tree because it has a lot of handmade ornaments like my snowflake ball, my white spray painted ball and, of course, my Justine Ma “Yeg” ornament. You can also find pinecones and my own paper bunting hung around the tree. And though there aren’t many presents underneath yet, I’ve already started wrapping the ones we have. Instead of buying a tree skirt, I just grabbed some fabric on clearance and draped it to hide our stand. It works just as well!
The stockings are hung! (And now need to be filled)
I loved my paper bunting so much that I added some to the front entry over the mirror that I’ve been struggling to replace for awhile.
I could have added some baubles to this little potted tree from Ikea, but I thought it looked for perfect plain.
It’s a good thing this photo is not a close up since this was taken before any effort could be made in the way of hair, makeup or even changing out of PJ’s!
My kitchen is complete with some DIY mason jar snow globes I made last year and a framed “Let your Heart be Light” print. I have old recipe cards that I plan on digging out much like this Gingerbread one. No one knew baking better than my Grandma. So hopefully I can do her justice!
Candles, framed cards, some sparkling twigs, reindeer, spray painted pinecones…the small details bring it all together.
Hopefully my home has filled you with some inspiration! And if that’s not enough, there will be more posts to follow this week on my holiday wrapping, paper bunting and some of my favourite seasonal treats!
(woodland ornaments, green spruce candle, stockings and white candle holder are all from Chapters | Rifle Paper co. Card | Urban Barn twigs and vase (last year) | Ikea small tree and white ceramic pot)
Merry Christmas! And happy decorating!
I love your decorating, Kristina! (like the music bunting, love the snow globes!)
It makes me happy to see bits of my pottery there too and maybe
that will inspire me to be more productive. Do I see any pieces of
your pottery there?xoxoxooxauntgo
Aww thank you so much! I do have a couple of my own around…they aren’t as lovely though! xoxo
