A couple of weeks ago, my friend Nicole was approached by the amazing people behind Kit and Ace in Edmonton. They wanted to hold a private event for her and some friends to come stop by their space and give some feedback about their current clothing items. With gorgeously crafted cashmere pieces, it was a no brainer for all of us and we said yes immediately. 
After some bad building luck, the storefront moved in with another local gem, Poppy Barley, down the way on Whyte Ave. You would think that the slight downsizing would have affected them but the store’s aesthetic is still beautiful, clean and bright. I especially love the custom storage pieces they brought along, designed by IZM furniture. The brass detailing is perfection.
We were greeted with champagne, the best cinnamon buns ever from Sugarbowl and beautiful white roses.
We were eager to get started when we saw all the merchandise. Deciding where to start was hard but we had great help!
Stef looked adorable in this floral inspired blouse. The scalloped bottom detail was so flattering. 
She also loved this simple grey turtleneck tank and, I know what you’re thinking, this girl looks good in anything!
This plum is the perfect fall colour on Nicole! And the cut of the Wave tee is so unique. We all loved the asymmetrical look and the loose fitting sleeves. 
Drew looked dashing in a soft grey button up and, even though the temperatures are dropping, I had to check out one of their skirts – the Amelie. 
What inspired us: After seeing the ins and outs of Lululemon for so many years, creators Shannon and JJ know their stuff. Comfort is key in their designs but, at the same time, they want every piece to be multidimensional. Their luxurious clothing is meant to transition from coffee dates to business meetings; from days out to nights in. This is what we all loved so much. Not only does their clothing look and feel beautiful but it’s so easy to layer up and achieve many looks. And, the bonus! The fabrics are resilient and machine washable. Music to our ears. 
Some of the feedback we gave: Have more sizing options. And look into clarifying sizing in general. With most pieces I had to size up from what I’m used to wearing – though I’m just not a big fan of super tight clothing – but it makes online ordering a bit trickier.
We had such an incredible time and were so grateful for our hosts and their amazing knowledge behind the product. They made sure we didn’t leave empty handed either…we each got to choose our favourite item in the store!
