This past summer, I shared a major project that our friend Brendon took on. He enlisted my help with the design side of his home flip (see the original design here) and, today, I am happy to give you a little update. Because this guy is so busy and can only spend time after hours working on all the renos, it is moving at a slower pace. But it’s coming along so well!
Painting is well under way. The banisters, window jams and walls have all gotten a fresh coat of paint.
I originally wanted to paint the brick fireplace but I’m now having second thoughts…need to get some more inspiration for this area. It already looks so much better though with the new wall paint. What do you think? After the new floors go in, Brendon will finish with new window casings, baseboards and crown moulding.
New doors! I know that may not be overly exciting for most people but they do look a million times better than the old ones. It’s amazing what a simple door change can do for a space.
The most progress has been made here in the main bathroom which was completely gutted. Brendon sealed off the small window in the shower to achieve a beautiful full wall of ceramic tile. A new tub and vanity were added as well. We now have to think about hardware, lighting and a mirror. Oh and a toilet…that may be important.
Next room to tackle is the kitchen! Here is a great shot before all of the huge changes. Pretty much the only things staying are the stove and refrigerator. Everything else is hitting the curb! And when it’s done, it will be bright, white and completely updated.
I can’t wait to show you the finished renovation! Stay tuned!
