Today I want to talk a little about an upcoming event that I am excited to attend! This Saturday I’ll be jumping over to West Edmonton Mall to take part in PARKSHOW, an exciting fashion and art showcase that is highlighting some of our very best talent and up-and-coming artists. PARK stands for PROMOTING ARTISTS, REDEFINING KULTURE and is an organization that focuses on supporting and promoting artists and fashion designers across the country. The team of over 35 volunteers that make up PARK strive to help these emerging creatives by providing them opportunities where they can grow their businesses and become a part of Alberta’s emerging cultural industry. This is all kinds of awesome!
What I also love is that each ticket purchased goes directly back to funding other PARK initiatives and the Emerging Artist & Designer Forum. Supporting local is so important and events like this make it possible! So, this weekend, you can join me in shopping these featured designers, learning all about local Canadian talent and getting to network with some of our city’s fashion elite! Great news too!!
