Since we’ve moved in to the Ravine House, Ryan and I have already been enjoying our huge patio space – something we never had in our tiny Hazeldean home. With the weather being so beautiful in Edmonton, we’ve already sat out here with friends, had dinner with family and even snuggled up with wine at night, just the two of us. At the moment though, it is a complete blank canvas (as you can see!!), but has a lot of potential to be a gorgeous outdoor space. So, I decided I needed a little inspiration and rounded up 8 perfect patio designs to help me get in the summer spirit.

Here’s what I love about these patio designs and what I would want to include in my own:
- a very natural look with minimal colour
- lots of texture – I love area rugs, wood accents, even a coiled rope side table…
- a comfortable place to sit and relax – big cushions that are durable yet inviting
- a great ambiance with added lighting (love the string lights and candles too, of course)
- a place to entertain, almost a dining area separate from the sitting area
- planters and pots where I can add some simple greenery
Have a peak at Canadian Tire for some more outdoor inspiration – my fellow Edmonton blogger Kira got to style a space and it is gorgeous!
Your patio space is incredible! It’ll be so fun to decorate. I can’t wait to see what you do with it. Ps. String Lights <3 <3
Thank you so much! Oh I am with you on the string lights lol xx
