We’ve been in the new place for a little over a week now and the renovation is clipping along at a steady pace. Actually, if I’m being honest, the day after we moved in, we tore all the upstairs carpet out and started demoing the bathroom. If that’s not speedy, I don’t know what is!! We are motivated people!!
If you remember from my previous post, we decided to renovate the entire second floor of the Ravine House, including the master bath, before anything else. We didn’t even move anything into the upper bedrooms because we knew it was all coming out. So, if you can imagine, we are currently living, eating, sleeping…everything on the main floor of the house (pictures of that coming soon!). So far, it has actually been really fun! And until the bathroom is complete, we are heading down to the basement to shower. Only a small inconvenience, really.
Anyways, here is a small bathroom update:The shower is gone and we uncovered a bit of rot underneath. Not too much to be concerned about. We will be replacing it all anyway. The vanity and mirror are also gone. I can picture the gorgeous black vanity here and it gets me crazy excited!!!!Where the toilet used to be and of course, all the old tile has been pulled up. All the tile around the bathtub is gone and now the lilac coloured tub is ready to be hauled out. Our worker may have someone who wants it, which would be great!Toilet in the closet anyone?? 🙂And lastly, you can see that we’ve started transforming the master bedroom too. Carpet is out and next, we get rid of the ugly popcorn ceiling. I also got Ryan to move some electrical in here so we could have a feature chandelier. Eeeee!
Forget what it looked like before? Head here. And if you want to check out my bathroom design, here you go!
