Not unlike the rest of the world, I’ve been a fan of the blog Margo and Me for quite some time and so, I was really excited to see her home recently featured on The Glitter Guide. I fell in love with her when I saw snippets of her wedding in France on IG and then continued to idolize her effortless style, her sophisticated ensembles…and her adorable little Frenchie too! After getting a glimpse into her sweet sanctuary, it’s not surprising that this same savvy style translates into her home decor. They describe it as “Full of luxurious textures, rich colors and trendy touches, her abode is equal parts Versailles-inspired and Los Angeles-influenced.” And I couldn’t agree more! So to kick off a new design series, I wanted to capture Jenny’s simple but gorgeously luxe living room and show you how you too can steal her style!
Start off with a great neutral wall colour – Jenny uses a soft grey. I love Grey Owl by Benjamin Moore | A great big cozy sectional and two cream club chairs give you plenty of seating | Even more seating is added with some cubes and poufs. This leather Moroccan pouf is ideal to add in a new texture to the room | I love that she chose an over arching floor lamp that is modern and classic at the same time | When it comes to accent tables, she kept it visually open with a gold and glass coffee table…the perfect place to add some trendy books and some home accents like this starburst object. Then another accent table in brass provides the perfect place to add another task lamp | I love the area rug too – it has a very faint and simple design so as not too pull too much focus | Then, it’s all in the details – simple black and white artwork, plush pillows and soft throws, and a show stopping print above the sofa |
