Swept Bridal Part Two

Swept BridalWhen I attended Swept Bridal last year, I got really excited about the possibilities and options for our wedding. And I also connected with people in the wedding community. I quickly learned that the success of a wedding depends largely on the vendors you trust to make your vision come to life. So when the event came up again this year, I didn’t hesitate in attending and taking my newly engaged friend Leanne, and our mutual bestie Sarah, to share in the Swept experience! Swept BridalStarting in the Sweet Room, we were greeted with delicious champagne…A toast was definitely in order.Swept BridalRight off the start, we loved the different bar set ups. With Leanne planning a winter wedding, the hot cocoa bar seemed like a great addition and we both loved the fancy water bar. Perrier, fruit and fancy drink accessories? Yes please!Swept BridalThe displays upon displays of desserts and sweet treats were delectable to look at. And we may have sampled a few things here and there. I talked with the Violet Chocolate Co. about doing small favours because their chocolates were to die for! Swept BridalWe picked up a copy of Blush before heading into the Inspiration room. Love seeing the gorgeous local weddings featured this season – including my lovely Nicole’s nuptials. Swept BridalJanine and her team at faBLOOMosity did another beautiful job this year. After seeing them in action on multiple occasions, I couldn’t dream of working with anyone else on our big day. Swept BridalBlush palettes dominated again this year and I loved them all. For me, it’s about finding the right blend of colour and texture without it overtaking the decor but I can definitely take some inspiration from all of these lovely tables. My plan is to only cover a couple of the main tables (guest signing/gift for instance) in a show stopping linen!Swept BridalSwept always has incredible decor inspiration. I love these backdrops and can’t imagine how many hours it took to create this paper floral display. Absolutely stunning!Swept BridalSwept BridalAnd of course, we loved visiting the Beauty Room for more glamorous inspiration. (PS I loved this simple tulip arrangement, I had to snap a pic!)Swept BridalDelica Bridal brought some beautiful dresses and had this gorgeous flower covered swing to really showcase one of their favourites from the Truvelle line. (my dress just happens to be from this designer as well 🙂 )Swept BridalSwept Bridal

Swept BridalSo all in all it was another great day. Here’s why I love Swept: I love that it is a more intimate wedding event where you can really talk and get to know some amazing vendors. I love that it supports our local businesses and even changed locations this year to show off another great wedding venue – the Matrix Hotel. I appreciate the effort and creativity put into the displays – it’s not only fun to see but showcases how talented these people are. And it is inspirational without being overwhelming. I have now attended Swept twice and each visit makes me feel more confident in our big day.

Thank you for another great event! And if you missed it, make sure to check it out in 2016!

  • lovely summary! going last year, newly engaged, was such fun and i am sad i couldn’t fly home for it this year.
PS – you are going to make a STUNNING Truvelle bride
PPS – cheers to Fabloomosity florals. i feel so safe with them behind the bouquets (even though mine are not extravagant at all).

    • Too bad you couldn’t make it again! But, yes, last year was awesome being newly engaged. Thank you!! Truvelle is such a pretty line, it really worked out I think. Oh and my florals won’t be too extravagant either 😉
