After the big decisions like date, location, photographer, & even the dress are made, the plans start to turn to decor. I am currently in that stage and have been pinning, reading & searching like a mad woman trying to get wedding inspiration! It’s absolutely the funnest part but overwhelming too! Oh, the options!!
Back in the spring, Nicole asked me if I would be willing to step in and model for a staged wedding shoot…a shoot that needed a peach haired bride in particular. I was hesitant because I didn’t think I could do the shoot justice but she convinced me and it was such a cool experience. And the best part of it, besides having beautiful photos I can show my future grandchildren, was getting to work alongside some of Edmonton’s most creative wedding professionals. They filled me with inspiration! Check out the shoot, which was featured on Wedluxe, and be inspired by the unique colours, textures and shapes of Autumn Splendour.
Janine at Fabloomosity inspired me to think big in terms of centrepieces. Her beautiful blend of lilacs, purples & orange flowers stole the show. This table has every detail covered from the triangular menus and name tags, to the gold flatware and chargers. A dazzling soft pink sequinned table cloth adds just the right amount of texture. I absolutely love it!I love that Jennifer Bergman continued the motif on the cocktail table. How gorgeous is this sign “Sip and Repeat” ?? She really does take notice of the small things…I would have never thought about designing invites in such a unique shape. This geometric print is stunning. And to further our peach theme, guests would take home a small jar of peach preserve. Adorable! When it comes to a backdrop for let’s say a DIY photo booth, think about texture! Here, we simply crinkled tinfoil and spray painted it a copper shade. It really added that extra pop in Nicole’s photos! Yes, that’s me…I was as shocked to see this photo as you probably are 🙂 Nicole sure knows how to make a girl feel beautiful!Another favourite part of the shoot was getting to wear a custom piece created by Amor of Hunt Amor jewelry. It complimented the simple sweetheart cut of the blush pink Monique Lhuillier gown perfectly. I also wore some simple dangling earrings by Amor. Janna and Stef from Behind the Blush are simply pros. See their post about the makeup and hair!I am filled with wedding decor inspiration after seeing how it all came together. To be honest, I could have had Ryan show up that day and gotten married right then and there. JK MOM!
