Last year, I started what I hoped would become a yearly tradition. I asked some of my favourite bloggers, makers and YEG girl bosses what was on their Christmas wish list. What resulted was one of my favourite holiday posts! And so, I contacted a few more of my friends to share another round up of some of their most coveted items this Christmas season (hopefully one of their significant others sees this and they get exactly what they wanted under the tree!!). I’m still so very thankful for this incredible community we’ve created and how close we are all starting to become. I absolutely love highlighting some of these ladies (just a handful from our amazing community!), so make sure to check out their sites or IG accounts and give them all some love!! Also, head back to last year’s post to see more YEG ladies that rock!
Ok, on to this year’s wish list items!! Candace’s Pick:
A great carry-on is hard to come by and it’s essential for business travel. I love that the Raden is the perfect size and it comes in matte solid finishes – super hot and sleek. (Santa can bring me mine in the matte hunter green). But the best part is it has a charging station to charge your phone while you’re waiting in the airport! I’m telling you – it’s perfect for business travel!
Chrisy’s Pick:
I am fairly practical when it comes to my clothing and accessory budget. I only own two designer handbags and one of them is second hand even! This year I’ve asked Santa for this beautiful bag (pretty sure the memo hit the garbage before it got read). There is no reason for me to want something that cost the equivalent to a used car on Kijiji except for the fact that I love this bag and have lusted after it for yearrrrrrrrrs. It’s not something I would ever buy for myself so why not use my 30th Christmas as an excuse to ask for it, right?
Diana’s Pick:
My item would be the Feminine Slipper in Taupe by Poppy Barley. I own the classic feminine slipper in black without the tassels and they’re probably my most comfortable shoe ever! They go with everything, are beautifully made and they’re just classic so I love the twist with the tassels. If santa wanted to bring me a pair I’d be very happy about it!!
Erinn’s Pick:
SOOO! This year, I’ve gone the exciting route (ha!) and asked for a shiny new BIG Le Creuset crock pot (how very domesticated of me!). In all seriousness though, one of my upcoming 2017 resolutions is spending a little more time just being mama and somehow when I think of that it always involves me roasting/baking/cooking some sort of delicious concoction for my family, which I’m convinced will taste even better in this beauty! Obviously I also choose the largest size for my family of growing boys, too!
And last, few of these gorgeous accessories wouldn’t upset me in the slightest, either 😉
Hannah’s Pick:
I chose this sweater because it is soft, cozy and everything a winter sweater should be. It’s slightly over-sized fit is the perfect accompaniment to the indulgence of the holiday season! I can totally see myself wearing this snuggled up reading books with my kids or out with friends at a Christmas party. The best part? It’s fashion that you can feel good about wearing. Nicole Bridger creates products and conversation that support ethical and inspired living. They have cultivated a culture of transparency and connection in their brand; something that is not the norm in the fashion industry. As she once said: “We design clothing that allows YOU to shine, not to be adorned.” Owning a quality, beautiful garment that I know was made ethically and fairly? Yes Please! Justine’s Pick:
Every Christmas, an anticipated read makes its way onto my wish list. This year it’s Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls (and Everything in Between) By Lauren Graham. I am a longtime fan of Gilmore Girls, so this is my attempt to grasp onto anything that can prolong my time with the cast. Let’s be honest, A Year in the Life just wasn’t long enough to satisfy any true Gilmore Girl fan’s infatuation. If you need me after Christmas, I will be cozying up + flipping novel pages as fast as Lorelei yaks.
Kira’s Pick:
I love TATCHA everything, with gentle safe products inspired by the ancient Geisha beauty practices they have been a go-to with my sensitive skin. I like to purchase holiday sets because you get to sample and try so many products at such a good price. It makes it easy to find a few that are right for you without buying full priced full sized products without truly knowing if they are a fit for your beauty routine. Discovery kits are such an amazing gift. This kit contains the polishing rice enzyme powder, its incredibly easy to get glowing skin. I also can’t stop using the gold beauty oil. Marisa’s Pick:
There will never be a shortage of white linens in my home. I think I’ve cornered the origin of my consumerism into those 1950’s era advertisements of red lipped women hanging white linens on their clothing lines and children jumping into the newly dried pile of laundry. This is the image that flashes through my head every time I see or feel white linens. (The Patriarchy. I know, but they make it look so fun.) This year I’m hoping for some of these Restoration Hardware Linen Bordered Towels because who doesn’t want to wrap themselves in a marshmallow after a nice hot bath?
A huuuuge thank you to all the ladies for being a part of this year’s wish list! Happy Holidays!! xo
